Margie Graham on right

Margie Graham taught 100's of sailors on Crooked Lake in the 1980's.
Margie holds an instructor Certificate from the U.S. Coast Guard, 3 U.S. Sailing Association Instructor Certificates, and a State of Michigan Instructor Certificate, and has training 100's of sailing instructors over the years.
After joining Crooked Lake Sailors as Program Director in 2012 she built up CLS's fleet of boats (mainly through donations), set up the necessary ramps and racks, a storage shed and sail box, and allof the other equipment and supplies needed for a sailing program, and then found instructors and organized the program.  Margie was recognized as the 2014 winner of the Outstanding Community Program Director award by the U.S. Sailing Association (The preeminent sailing organization in the United States.)

Margie retired from day-to-day active roles but remains as Founder.

We are fortunate Skip Magrum is our new Executive Director.  Skip has an extensive sailing background and lots of enthusiam and energy, and is looking forwrd to build on the sailing schools past success.

We are also very fortunate Max McKinney, an instructor for the past 4 years and Director last season will return again in 2017.

Max and his staff (all US Sailing Certified) focus on each student having a positive introduction to sailing, and then building their sailing skills through hand-on teaching -- while having fun, making memories and developing friendships.
